In the spring we built a compost toilet for Custom Locavore community garden in Folkestone. The structure was constructed from materials reclaimed from Tate's art handling department, supported and finished with a range of locally sourced sustainable & reclaimed materials, including brick, lime & clay. Various stages of the build included community workshops.
We have been commissioned by Motherhouse in London to design the kid's area. The world's first artist studio with integrated childcare.
This year we hope to be collaborating with artist Daniella Valz Gen to help realise her latest project. This project will include making a site specific space, that works with cradle-cradle concepts. Photo: Rowan Powell
Foraged & Found is a trailer converted into an art laboratory, creating a mobile space for research & making with a focus of site, locality & the environment.
Renovation of a narrow boat, from the floor to the fixtures & fittings. All furniture was produced using recycled materials.
Formally a semi-converted attic space consisting of a bathroom, bedroom & corridor. We removed the existing (damp) ceilings & walls, insulated the space using wood/wool boards & a Lime plaster. The floor was lifted, insulated with coconut & wool and relayed.
