Sheds

In autumn 2021 we worked at Custom's Locavore community garden to produce a series of new sheds and an outdoor dinning area.

The potting shed was constructed from art handling travel frames (which previously transported David Hockney's work), remnants of coconut insulation, reclaimed polycarbonate, found tiles and experimental marmoleum cladding, to create a light, bright & warm space.

The boot room was constructed from further travel frames, larch cladding and lined with ply from COP26 installations & Folkestone Triennial artworks, along with found doors & windows.

The dinning area included a long table built from pallets, benches made from reclaimed sleepers and scaffold poles to form an awning in the summer.

We'll be returning to complete maintenance on the project in spring 2021, when we'll be treating the timber to better weather the weather!
